LAND WANTED
FOR PURCHASE OR LEASE
FOR SOLAR FARMS NEAR SPALDING
The current energy crisis is one of the biggest challenges facing humanity today. With traditional sources of energy like fossil fuels becoming increasingly scarce, it’s more important than ever to find alternative sources of energy that are renewable and environmentally sustainable. Solar farms are one such alternative that is quickly gaining popularity around the world and are now being proactively encouraged throughout the UK.
Choose Eco are now looking for land near Spalding to use to repurpose as solar farms. If you currently have land available that is not being used then we would like to speak with you about the opportunity to use it to harvest solar energy.

WHAT IS A SOLAR FARM?
A solar farm is a large-scale photovoltaic system designed for the purpose of generating solar power.
Solar farms can be either utility-scale or commercial-scale, and are often located in remote areas where there is ample land and sunlight. Utility-scale solar farms are usually connected to the electrical grid, while commercial-scale solar farms may or may not be.
Solar farms are typically made up of many individual solar panels, which convert sunlight into electricity. The electricity generated by the solar farm can then be used to power homes and businesses, or fed back into the grid.
Solar farms have become increasingly popular in recent years as a renewable energy source. They offer a clean and sustainable way to generate electricity, and can help to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.
Solar farms can also provide an economic boost to local communities, as they create jobs and generate revenue. With the world’s ever-growing demand for energy, solar farms are expected to play an important role in our future.
THE BENEFITS OF SOLAR FARMS
RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE
Solar farms will never run out of sunlight to convert into electricity
KIND TO THE LOCAL SPALDING ENVIRONMENT
Solar farms are much more environmentally friendly than traditional sources of energy like coal-fired power plants. Solar farms don’t produce any harmful emissions or pollutants, making them a very attractive option for those concerned about the environment.
COST EFFECTIVE
Solar farms are becoming increasingly cost-competitive with traditional sources of energy. As the technology behind solar panels continues to improve, the cost of producing electricity from solar farms is dropping quickly. In some cases, solar farms are already cheaper to operate than traditional coal-fired power plants.
HOW DOES SOLAR ENERGY WORK?
Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels are devices that convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity. Solar PV panels are made up of many individual solar cells, which are connected together in a series circuit. Each solar cell has two layers of semiconductor material, usually silicon. When sunlight hits the solar cell, it causes electrons to be knocked loose from the atoms in the silicon. This flow of electrons creates an electric current, which can be used to power electrical devices. Solar PV panels are typically mounted on rooftops or in open areas that receive direct sunlight.
The basic principle behind solar PV is pretty simple: when light shines on a piece of silicon, it causes electrons to flow and generates electricity. However, there is a lot of science and engineering that goes into making solar PV panels that are efficient and durable enough to be used in real-world applications.
Solar PV is a clean and renewable source of energy, and it has the potential to play a major role in the transition to a low-carbon economy. Solar PV panels have no moving parts, so they are very low maintenance. They also don’t produce any emissions, making them a very attractive option for power generation.

THE PROCESS
CALL WITH DNO
We will book a call with the DNO (District Network Operator) to check what size of solar array is viable for your land
G99 & PLANNING APPLICATION
We will then put in a G99 application to the DNO whilst also putting in a planning application. Planning applications can take up to 6 weeks but planning departments are being favourable towards solar farms due to the energy crisis and CO2 emission targets.
INSTALLATION & AFTERCARE
We will deal with all aspects of installation and maintain the solar farm moving forward. All you need to do is receive your annual payment and continue to use the land as agreed
