ENERGY POSITIVE EFFICIENCY

Energy positive housing is a type of construction derived from energy positive architecture that results in a net positive energy balance for the home. This means that more energy is generated than consumed over the course of a year, resulting in net surplus energy that can be used to offset other energy needs or exported back to the grid. Ultimately the goal is to create an energy positive home.

Energy positive housing can be achieved through a variety of means, including solar panels, wind turbines, and other renewable energy sources.

Choose Eco homes are custom made in conjunction with Cre8ive Eco to use green energy and to be as energy efficient as possible.

ENERGY POSITIVE ARCHITECTURE

The use of net zero energy building techniques can also help to achieve this goal. Net zero energy buildings are designed and built so that they consume no net energy from the grid over the course of a year. This is usually accomplished through a combination of renewable energy generation and efficiency measures. By contrast, net positive energy buildings go one step further and generate more energy than they consume, resulting in net surplus energy that can be used to offset other energy needs or exported back to the grid.

There are many benefits to designing and constructing net positive energy buildings. Perhaps the most obvious is that it reduces our reliance on fossil fuels and helps to combat climate change. Net positive energy buildings also tend to be more resilient than their traditional counterparts, as they are less reliant on the grid for their power needs. In the event of a power outage, net positive energy buildings can often continue to function using on-site generation sources.

There are many features that make a new build energy efficient:

Airtight construction is one of the most important features of an energy efficient new build. Airtight construction means that there are no gaps or cracks in the walls, floors, or ceilings through which heat can escape. This makes the home much more comfortable to live in and also reduces heating and cooling costs.

High performance windows and doors have special coatings that keep heat in during the winter and cool air in during the summer. This helps to keep the temperature inside the home consistent, saving on energy costs.

Insulation helps to keep the heat in during the winter and cool air in during the summer. This helps to reduce heating and cooling costs and makes the home more comfortable to live in.

Solar panels are a great way to generate free electricity. Solar panels can be used to power the entire home or just supplement the existing power supply. Solar panels are a great way to save on energy costs and help to protect the environment.

An EV charging point is a device that can be used to charge an electric vehicle (EV). It usually consists of a charger, a control unit, and a power outlet. The type of charger that is used will depend on the make and model of the EV, as well as the voltage and current requirements of the charger. Most EV charging points use Level 2 chargers, which are able to charge an EV up to six times faster than a Level 1 charger.

An energy positive house is a home that produces more energy than it consumes. This can be achieved through a variety of means, such as solar panels, wind turbines, or other renewable energy sources. The excess energy can be used to power appliances, lights, and other electronics within the home, or it can be stored for future use. Energy positive homes are becoming increasingly popular as people look for ways to reduce their environmental impact and save money on their energy bills.
